November Product Spotlight

Hey guys!

So in this post, I wanted to share with you guys a few things that I’ve been loving lately and give you an honest review on them!

Let’s start with Too Faced Stardust by Vegas Nay:

At first, I wasn’t going to purchase this eyeshadow palette but after watching (too many) YouTube videos on it, I decided to purchase it from ULTA and give it a try (not included in the picture is the mascara and pot of glitter that comes with the palette). I wasn’t going to purchase it at first because the colors sort of intimidated me. They looked much too bold for my taste; I stick to natural eyes most days. But as soon as I received it, I swatched a few colors on the back of my hand and fell in LOVE. These colors can be played up or down. They are very buildable and blendable, which I love about them. I consider this my “fun” palette. Sometimes, you need to add a pop of color and this palette helps you do that. I usually mix and match the colors with one another and with shadows from different palettes. Overall, this was a great purchase and I would recommend it to anyone!

Next up is Vasanti BrightenUp! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator:

IMG_6712I absolutely love this! It is an “exfoliating cleanser enriched with papaya, micro-crystals, and aloe.” I received this as a sample in my October Birchbox and fell in love with it the first time I used it. It gently exfoliates my skin (perfect for winter!). Something that I’ve noticed is that it helps to even out my skin tone and makes it pretty again. It smells great and you only need to use a small amount of product to get maximum results. I use this as a supplement to my normal face wash. In the winter, I’ll exfoliate about two times per week and in the summer usually only once per week. Pictured above is the sample I received and I’ve been using it for over a month so a small amount really does go a long way.

Now on to amika Nourishing Mask:

I received this in my November Birchbox. This product is a nourishing hair mask with Sea Buckthorn Berry. It brings intense hydration to dull hair and I’ve noticed a difference with the first use. It is cruelty-free, as well!! It smells so amazing, too. I use this about once a week. I’ve only used it twice and still have enough to do one more hair mask, but I will definitely be purchasing the full size from Birchbox in the near future. I apply this in the shower, let it soak in my hair for about five minutes and then rinse it out. Then, my hair is so soft and beautiful again, just like that!

Next is LOC One & Done Shadow Stick:

Shown above are Birchbox brand LOC One & Done Shadow Sticks in Smoke Screen and Impress Me. THESE ARE AWESOME. I received Impress Me (the rose gold shade) in my November Birchbox and was swept away. This is such an easy shadow to apply and I usually let it stand alone, on top of an eyeshadow primer. The One & Done Shadow Sticks have amazing staying power and last all day without a smudge. How I usually apply it is just by coloring on my eyelid and taking my fingertip to blend it out slightly so it isn’t as in-your-face pigmented. I actually liked Impress Me so much that I purchased one for my friend (who has a beauty channel on YouTube) and then I purchased Smoke Screen (the grey shade) for myself. I just love these so much. I will eventually pick up other colors for myself (I have my eyes on Nite Owl which is a deep plum shade). I recommend these shadow sticks to anyone who wants to make up their eyes in beautiful shades and do it quickly, without the hassle of brushes and different eyeshadow colors. These are also very affordable and cruelty-free!

Last, but not least are Colourpop Super Shock Shadows:

Pictured above (from the first picture starting on the left, going clockwise) are DGAF, Dance Party, Amaze, and I Heart This (same order from bottom to top on my wrist). I LOVE THESE! I wanted to try Colourpop Super Shock Shadows for awhile now, and I’m so glad that I did. These shadows are super affordable and cruelty-free, which I always try to buy. Like I said previously, I usually stick to natural eyes, (as you can see I’m trying to expand that) so these shadows were definitely a huge leap for me. I watched so many YouTube videos where these shadows were used and always loved the results. Since I’ve received these, I haven’t been able to stop wearing them! They are so easy to use. I just use my fingertip to apply the color and layer for a bolder look. You could also blend out for a less dramatic look. I apply them on top of an eyeshadow primer and then I’m good to go. It stays on all day and NEVER creases, which amazed me. These shadows are definitely suitable for everyone. There are so many colors to choose from with all types of finishes-from matte to metallic. I actually have my eyes on Central Perk (maybe or maybe not solely for the FRIENDS reference). These are great shadows and I will definitely be purchasing more shades in the future!

That’s all I have for now! Let me know if you guys try any of these products, I’d love to hear your feedback on them! If you have any product suggestions of things you’ve been loving, leave a comment below. Be sure to follow my blog for more updates!

Thanks for reading,

Victoria

p.s. I’ve talked so much about Birchbox in this post; my next post will be all about it!
